Paranormal Activity The Marked Ones is a fun movie. I enjoyed all of the PAs including the 5th. What I loved about the first three installments of Paranormal Activity was that the scares were subtle and tension was built over time. Unfortunately, the fourth and now fifth installments of the franchise have fallen by the way of generic horror films of our day. The 4th movie had so much potential but fell completely short, and the 5th movie relies on all of the tried and tired possession plot lines.
Storyline
Jessie begins experiencing a number of disturbing and unexplainable things after the death of his neighbor. As he investigates, it isn't long before Jessie finds he's been marked for possession by a malevolent demonic entity, and it's only a matter of time before he is completely under its control ...
In the end, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is an above average film. It is a very interesting film that I can tell already is going be one of the most different films I am going to review all year long. Just like The Devil Inside from last year, this film is a strange way to start a new year.
